Amy Ly

Amy Ly has a diverse work experience in the field of pathology and laboratory medicine. Amy started their career at the Massachusetts General Hospital in 2009 as a Pathologist, specializing in areas such as breast pathology, thoracic pathology, and cytopathology. Amy also had expertise in immunohistochemistry and HER2 FISH interpretation. In 2012, they became the Director of the Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy Service, where they focused on operational improvement and the implementation of ultrasound utilization in biopsy procedures. Amy was responsible for staff and trainee education, performance review, and vendor contract management.

In addition to their role at Massachusetts General Hospital, Amy Ly was also involved in various academic and research positions. From 2009 onwards, they worked at Harvard Medical School as an Assistant Professor and Instructor in Pathology. Amy was actively engaged in teaching and mentoring students and trainees. After that, they pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University, which they earned in 2005. In 2003 to 2004, they engaged in a Post-sophomore Fellowship in Anatomic Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine. Amy Ly then went on to complete their Anatomic Pathology residency at Stanford University School of Medicine from 2005 to 2009.
