Ultra Electronics PMES (Maritime Rugeley) is an operating business of Ultra Electronics Holdings, an internationally successful defence, security, transport and energy company with a long, consistent track record of development and growth.
 
Operationally, the Group is organised into three divisions:
 
Aircraft & Vehicle Systems, Information & Power Systems and Tactical & Sonar Systems
 
PMES operates within the Information & Power Systems division
 
PMES provides innovative, high-technology power conversion and control solutions, signature management systems, underwater measurement ranges and high integrity sensors for a variety of defence applications. The business also has a thriving traction power business providing DC sub station equipments to the railway industry.  In 2010, PMES acquired Transmag Power Transformers.  
 
PMES is considered a leader in their fields of expertise and has a world wide customer base.
 
PMES employs around 260 employees in support of these activities and as such is a significant contributor within the local economy.
