Vice President And Chief Technology Officer (cto) at Ultra Intelligence & Communications

Randy Fields has a diverse and extensive work experience. Randy started their career in the US Navy as a Technical Analyst and Cryptologic Warfare Officer, where they performed military intelligence operations and served as a Systems Administrator for afloat special systems.

After leaving the Navy, Randy worked at Information Sciences Institute as an Information Assurance Manager, providing advisory support and designing secure information systems for government networks.

Randy then joined Northrop Grumman Corporation, where they held various roles, including Software Engineering Manager, Engineering Department Manager, Staff Systems Engineer, and Principal Systems Architect. In these positions, they led technical teams, managed budgets and program execution, and oversaw information assurance for a business unit. Randy also contributed to project management activities, system verification and validation, and transitioned legacy software platforms to scalable architectures.

Following their time at Northrop Grumman, Randy worked at Cubic Digital Intelligence as a Director of Engineering, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and Vice President and General Manager. In these roles, they led technology strategy, managed resources, and developed managers. Randy also orchestrated collaboration with customers and integrated solution teams to execute growth campaigns and identify M&A opportunities.

Most recently, Randy has been working at Ultra Intelligence & Communications as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, they focus on strategic technology leadership, spearheading innovation, and securing pivotal roles in key programs.

Throughout their career, Randy has demonstrated strong technical leadership, delivered business and mission outcomes, and received awards for customer satisfaction and excellence.

Randy Fields has attended various educational institutions throughout their career. Randy completed the General Management Program at The Wharton School. In 2020, they participated in the Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy Program at MIT Sloan School of Management. Randy obtained a Master's Degree in Technical Management, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University between 2010 and 2016. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, Randy earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems from National University. Additionally, they hold several certifications, including Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from MIT Sloan School of Management, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Safe 4.6 from Scaled Agile, Inc., and CISSP from (ISC)2.
