Emma Karns

Emma Karns possesses a diverse background in human resources and client services, with experience spanning over a decade. At UMB Bank from August 2021 to February 2025, Karns held positions as Associate Relations Partner, Human Resources Business Partner, and Regional Human Resources Manager. Prior to UMB Bank, Karns worked at CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) as Impact People Coordinator and Client Service Assistant from January 2018 to August 2019. Earlier experience includes a role as OnIowa! Program Training Chair at the University of Iowa, where responsibilities included planning training retreats for student leaders, and serving as Executive Assistant for Lance Beckman at Northwestern Mutual, managing calendars and client communications. Karns also gained experience with inventory management at Martin Bros. Distributing Co. from January 2013 to January 2015.
