Michael LaPlant is an experienced banking professional with a focus on agribusiness and commercial banking. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Agribusiness Banking at UMB Bank since September 2014, LaPlant has held various roles including Vice President and Assistant Vice President within the same institution. Prior experience includes a role as Relationship Manager at Commerce Bank, where participation in an intensive Corporate Banking Training Program provided comprehensive training in credit analysis and financial assessment of commercial loans. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Banking, as well as Real Estate from the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business, and completed the Agricultural Lenders School in 2015 at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
