Shawn Guan

Shawn Guan has worked in the tech industry since 2008. Shawn started as a Procurement Specialist at Qisda Corporation, then moved on to Business Development Director at NUUO Inc. in the same year. In 2014, they co-founded Umbo CV Inc. and served as the CEO. At Umbo CV Inc., they developed autonomous video security systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of physical security operations at enterprise scale. The company won the best startup from Nvidia’s Deep Learning Conference in 2016 and Security Industry Association (SIA) Best in Video Analytics for 2017. Their products/services are used in various locations, from small offices to large national retailers.

Shawn Guan attended UC Santa Barbara from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a B.S. in Biology.
