Ed Johnson has a diverse and extensive work experience in various fields. From 2018 to present, they have been a Non-Executive Director at Umbo, where they also served as the Chief Clinical Officer from 2018 to 2020 and later as a Clinical Innovation Advisor from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, they have been a Lecturer at the School of Health Sciences in Western Sydney University since 2021. Ed also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Sydney, which they earned from 2006 to 2008.

In addition, Ed Johnson has acquired several certifications. Ed graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors as a Graduate of the AICD in May 2022. Ed also completed a Certificate in University Teaching and Learning from the University of Sydney in January 2014. Furthermore, they are a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist, having obtained certification from Speech Pathology Australia in January 2011.
