Gregory B.

Gregory B. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2014 to 2021. Gregory began their career as a Lead Network Consultant and E-Course Content Developer for UCSB - Housing and Residential Services in 2014. In 2016, they worked as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer Intern for Calix, where they assisted mechanical and hardware engineers in designing and testing networking equipment, performed thermal tests, and utilized SolidWorks CAD to design parts and assemblies. In 2017, they were a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for Santa Barbara Imaging Systems, Inc., working with mechanical and manufacturing engineers to develop and create a high precision medical device for surgery, assisting production with equipment preventative maintenance, IQ OQ PQ, and calibration, and designing and testing fixtures for production. Gregory also worked as a Capstone Project Engineer for Apeel, where they and their team of 5 created non-destructive testing methods to evaluate the ripeness of avocados. In 2018, they were a System Integration And Test Engineer for ASML. In 2020, they worked as a Lead Manufacturing Engineer for Safe Fleet. Currently, they are a Senior Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer, Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer II, and Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer for Umbra.

Gregory B. attended Arcadia High School from 2011 to 2014, and then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara from 2014 to 2018.
