Meg Eckensen

Meg Eckensen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Most recently, they worked at Umbra as a Group Product Manager starting in February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Ursa Space Systems where they held multiple roles including Director of Product, Marketing, and Experience from November 2021 to February 2023, Head of User Experience from June 2018 to November 2021, and Lead UI/UX Designer from February 2018 to June 2018.

Before their time at Ursa Space Systems, Meg worked as a Graphic Designer & Web Developer as a freelancer from December 2005 to March 2018. Meg also has experience in retail management, having worked as a Store Manager at Bath & Body Works and White Barn from September 2016 to February 2018, an Assistant Store Manager at Paper Source from April 2014 to September 2016, and a Store Manager at Le Labo Fragrances from November 2011 to March 2014.

In addition, Meg has experience in the creative arts field as a Fiber Arts Instructor at Imagiknit & The Yarn Lounge from September 2008 to November 2011. Meg also worked as a Web Developer at DDL OMNI Engineering from May 2007 to June 2010 and as a Design & Production Associate at KeithFabry from May 2008 to January 2009.

Meg Eckensen earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Communication Arts (Commercial Illustration) from Virginia Commonwealth University, where they attended from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their degree, they also obtained certifications as an NN/g UX Certified from the Nielsen Norman Group in October 2019, and as a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance in September 2019.
