Timbo Stillinger

Timbo S. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental science and management. Currently serving as a Senior Program Manager at Umbra since November 2023, Timbo previously held the role of Hyperspectral Solutions Architect at Planet from December 2022 to October 2023. With a long tenure at UC Santa Barbara from June 2013 to January 2023, Timbo contributed as a Research Faculty member, focusing on NASA and Army funded projects, and was recognized with teaching awards for excellence in education. Additional roles include Science Director at Nature Collective, leading a significant restoration project, and Applied Science Consultant at Cold World Consulting LLC, specializing in snow hydrology. Timbo has a robust research background, having participated in various prestigious roles and projects, including conducting groundbreaking research on plastic debris in the Pacific. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Environmental Science and Management from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley.
