FangYi Zhou is a Senior Production Control Engineer at United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) since March 2021, overseeing wafer start control and line balance for FAB 12i. FangYi is the founder and principal developer of the UMC 12" cross-fab Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) benchmark platform, which enables real-time tool performance monitoring and productivity modeling utilizing cross fab CIM data. In previous roles, FangYi served as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, optimizing dispatching policies and developing an AI-based recipe control system. Prior experience includes a position as a Senior Fiber Process Engineer at Han's Laser Technology Industry Group, where FangYi led the establishment of an optical fiber laboratory and managed specialty fiber manufacturing processes. Education includes a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from National Taiwan University and studies at Washington State University and Tamkang University.
