Alan Williams is a PhD Student at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science since April 2021, focusing on monitoring the environmental impact of on-bottom oyster aquaculture harvesting and developing 3D oyster reef models. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Development Mechanical Engineer at the MMT Observatory, where Alan designed over 20 parts using SolidWorks, and as a Research Experience for Undergraduates Fellow with Maryland Sea Grant, contributing to climate change research on diamondback terrapin populations. Alan also worked at Toys"R"Us as a Sales Associate, efficiently handling numerous transactions while ensuring customer satisfaction. Alan holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona and is pursuing a Master's degree in Marine Estuarine Environmental Science at the University of Maryland.
