Eric Davidson

Professor

Eric Davidson is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science and serves as a Principal Scientist at Spark Climate Solutions. Their research focuses on terrestrial nutrient cycling, greenhouse gas emissions from soils, global biogeochemical cycles, and sustainable agriculture. Davidson is recognized as a Past President and Fellow of the American Geophysical Union, a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and as a Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher. They were a Jefferson Science Fellow at the U.S. State Department from 2021 to 2022 and received their Ph.D. from the Department of Forestry at North Carolina State University. Their most recent book, *Science for a Green New Deal; Connecting Climate, Economics, and Social Justice*, was published in 2022 by Johns Hopkins University Press.
