Emily O'Connell Bater

Emily O'Connell Bater is an experienced Development Coordinator at Umedia since October 2013, responsible for reviewing and sourcing development projects across various media formats including scripts, comics, and articles. Emily has also served as Assistant to the President of Production, facilitating daily operations and managing project submissions. In addition to Umedia, Emily freelances as a script reader and consultant for Channel 4's 4Screenwriter program and has previously worked as an Assistant Producer on short film projects, a Production Runner for an independent film, and a Fundraising Intern, where successful proposals generated over £12,000. Educational qualifications include a Script Development Diploma from the National Film and Television School, a Master’s in Film and Screen Theory from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Bachelor's in English Literature from the University of East Anglia.
