Bart Schepers has extensive experience in operations and R&D within the materials and engineering sectors. Currently serving as Operations Manager Support Sampling and Competence Manager Advanced Coatings at Umicore since April 2017, Bart focuses on enhancing product quality and process efficiency for germanium substrates using Six Sigma methodologies. Prior to this, Bart worked at imec from January 2014 to March 2017 as an R&D Engineer and Process Engineer in lithography, contributing to the development of memory programs and solving production line issues. Bart's academic background includes a Master's degree in Nanotechnology and Nanoscience from KU Leuven and a Master's degree in Applied Engineering: Chemical Process Technology from Lessius Hogeschool Mechelen, complemented by internships focused on thin film deposition and atomic layer deposition processes.
