Umii Says is a social enterprise based in Birmingham, UK. We encourage diverse communities to be curious about autism in the rhythm of life. Through safe-space workshops, we respond to the disproportionate representation of Black children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) facing school exclusion.

In Black British communities, barriers to accessing autism support result from sustained systemic inequality and stigma about mental health and SEND. Umii Says supports Black communities and allies to draw on their collective wisdom and lived experiences to advocate for Black people with autism, whether they have a diagnosis or not.
