Hunter Jackson

Threat Intelligence Lead at UMRF Ventures

Hunter Jackson has worked as a Software Engineer at The University of Memphis since September 2022. In this role, they co-developed a global platform for Polymer research, focused on collaboration among international researchers. Hunter'sresponsibilities included implementing an authentication system with various features and ensuring data security. The project involved front-end and back-end development using Angular, GitHub, Firebase, Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.

Prior to that, Hunter worked at UMRF Ventures starting in January 2022. Hunter began as a Threat Intelligence Analyst and later took on the role of Threat Intelligence Lead. In their positions, they mentored analysts, conducted research, and worked on projects related to anomaly detection, incident response, and data analytics. Hunter also contributed to the design and implementation of an on-boarding program for new team members at FedEx.

Hunter Jackson received an Associate's degree in Business Administration from Roane State Community College in 2018. Hunter then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at The University of Memphis, expected to be completed in 2023.
