Daniela Rizzi

Daniela Rizzi is a seasoned expert in nature-based solutions, green infrastructure, and biodiversity, currently serving as a Senior Expert at ICLEI Europe since May 2018. As the NetworkNature Project Manager, Daniela oversees a collaborative initiative involving 92 EU-funded projects, focusing on embedding nature-based solutions within local governance and various sectors. In addition to the role at ICLEI, Daniela functions as a UNEP GEO-7 Expert Peer Reviewer and serves as Project Coordinator for New European Bauhaus initiatives. Daniela also contributes to standards development at CEN/TC 465 and holds leadership positions in other environmental initiatives. Daniela's academic background includes a PhD in Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning from the Technical University of Munich, further complemented by an architecture degree from the Universidade de São Paulo.
