Deen Sharp

Deen Sharp is an accomplished Urban Resilience Expert at the UN Environment Programme, focusing on advancing climate resilience and disaster risk reduction in African cities. With a diverse background as a consultant, journalist, and educator, Deen has extensive experience in project management, research, and policy development related to conflict and urban issues. Previous roles include Coordinator at the Small Arms Survey, Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT, and Co-Director at TerreformUR, among others. Deen holds a PhD in Geography from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and has contributed to various scholarly publications and reports on Middle Eastern conflicts, migration, and urban resilience.
