Mark Terry, PhD, serves as the Executive Director of Youth Climate Report since January 2011 and as a Course Director at York University since September 2015, focusing on Communication and Media Studies. Concurrently, Mark contributes as an Adjunct Professor at both York University and Wilfrid Laurier University, and as a Climate Action Specialist with Adventure Canada. As Program Director for the City of Vaughan's Social and Environmental Sustainability Program, Mark leads a certification initiative for small businesses aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada since 2021, Mark authored the book "The Geo-Doc: Geomedia, Documentary Film, and Social Change," on the innovative Geo-Doc format. Involvement with UNESCO and the UNFCCC underscores a strong commitment to climate communication and education. Mark's extensive background in documentary filmmaking includes prominent projects for CBC and a foundation in education with advanced degrees from York University.
