Paul Ohanian

CEO at Unbroken Studios

Paul Ohanian is the CEO of Unbroken Studios, a position they have held since July 2017. Prior to that, they were the Chief Technology Officer at Pound Sand from August 2013 to July 2017. Paul was also the Lead Software Engineer - Battlefield 4 at DICE (EA Digital Illusions CE AB) from October 2012 to August 2013. In this role, they supervised and directed five engineers, managed the external engineering support for DICE Los Angeles to DICE Stockholm for Battlefield 4, designed and engineered Artificial Intelligence (AI) path finding quality improvements for Battlefield 4, and developed cinematic capture and recording technology for Battlefield 4. Prior to that, they were the Lead Cinematic Engineer - Medal of Honor: Warfighter at Danger Close Games (Electronic Arts) from September 2011 to October 2012. In this role, they developed and assembled entire cinematic pipeline for running full in-game and pre-rendered cinematics with 90 minutes of cinematics running on Xbox, PS3 and PC, directed 20+ personnel on animation team, managed gameplay engineers working on core gameplay features for single and multiplayer portions of the game, led initial software demo for press release, GDC and E3, supported marketing team for all press trailers and video content including in-game footage of Lincoln Park “Castle of Glass” music video with over 18 million views, and performed as a Finalling Engineer working on memory, TRC, TCR and online for all platforms day 1 patch.

Ohanian attended the Guildhall at Southern Methodist University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Interactive Technology. Paul then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Southern Methodist University.
