Sid Alvis

Sid Alvis, PE, MBA, is an experienced professional with a diverse background spanning over three decades in engineering, consulting, and education. Currently serving as the Director of the Leadership Academy and a Professor of Practice at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte since January 2022, Sid focuses on enhancing leadership competencies among engineering students and improving their academic experiences. Sid also owns and operates Alvis Realty & Consulting, contributing extensive knowledge to the North Carolina real estate market. Previous roles include positions at Enercon Services, Siemens Energy, AREVA, Duke Engineering & Services, and various other organizations, where Sid led operations in cyber security, project management, and engineering services within the nuclear sector. An alumnus of the Virginia Military Institute and Northern Illinois University, Sid holds a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an Executive MBA.
