Beth Rivera

Beth Rivera is the current Chief People Officer at Uncommon Goods. Beth has over twenty years of experience in human resources and organizational development. Prior to their current position, Beth was the Vice President of Organizational Development and Human Resources at UBM plc from May 2012 to December 2017. In this role, Beth was responsible for formulating and executing the global organizational development and talent strategy by driving stakeholder support and implementation of strategic HR initiatives in areas such as performance management, executive succession planning, employee engagement, and business transformation.

During their time at UBM plc, Beth spearheaded the development, promotion, and embedding of the company's new "Performance Plus" continuous feedback- and coaching-based global performance management approach through the development and delivery of customized learning curriculum; they also built a custom technology platform to support the new performance management process and approach. In addition, Beth led the design and implementation of Talent Management and Succession Planning strategy, process and system, ensuring that top talent was in place to support significant growth plans. Beth also partnered with Divisional HR teams and Senior Leadership Team, driving business transformation, organizational redesign of business, and significant cultural change. Finally, Beth identified areas to increase collaboration, communication, and transparency throughout the organization by administering employee global engagement surveys.

Under their leadership,Uncommon Goods has continued to grow and thrive as a company, thanks in part to their focus on developing talent, fostering engagement, and driving positive change within the organization.

Beth Rivera reports to David Bolotsky, Founder & CEO. They work with Brian Hashemi - Chief Marketing & Analytics Officer, Kelly Marages - Creative Brand Director, and Andrew Wang - Head of Finance. and Nicole Porter - Senior People Manager reports to Beth Rivera.
