Stephen Chiger

Stephen Chiger is the current Director of Literacy at Uncommon Schools, focusing on grades 5-8 within the K8 Curriculum and Assessment team. They previously held the position of Howitt Fellow for School Leadership at North Star Academy College Preparatory High School from 2008 to 2014 and served as the Director of Humanities at University Academy Charter High School from 2003 to 2008. In addition, Stephen directed the Hugh N. Boyd Journalism Diversity Workshop at the Chiger Williams Foundation, Inc. from 2006 to 2007 and was the President of the Garden State Scholastic Press Association from 2007 to 2009. They earned an Ed.M. in Educational Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2010.
