Anele Simon

Anele Simon currently serves as the Acting Secretary General at ICOYACA, where efforts focus on empowering African youth to leverage the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) for economic advancement since January 2023. Prior to this role, Anele has been contributing to the UNCTAD's Research and Policy Analysis Branch as an intern since October 2020. Additional experience includes a legal workshop at bioMérieux, and positions as an Education Consultant for New Channel International Education Group and Riverdeep Immersion Subject English. Anele held leadership roles at the University of Pretoria Student Disciplinary Advisory Panel and started a career in sales at Marcus Evans and naseba. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in International and European Trade & Investment Law from Université catholique de Lyon and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Pretoria.
