Mike Seiferling currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Public Finance and Director of the MPA Programme at UCL, a position held since 2015. Additionally, Mike is a Short Term Expert for the International Monetary Fund and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, along with holding a Visiting Scholar role at the International Monetary Fund. Mike has also been involved with the World Bank and the Royal Statistical Society as a Short Term Expert and Fellow, respectively. Previously, Mike was the Director of Research focusing on Cryptocurrency and Government at IE Business School, and held the position of Economist at the International Monetary Fund from 2010 to 2014. Education includes a PhD and MRes from The London School of Economics and Political Science, complemented by an undergraduate degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
