Anka Roberto

Anka Roberto is an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and academic professional with a focus on telemedicine and mental health. Since August 2018, Anka has been providing telehealth services utilizing motivational interviewing techniques while serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Anka previously worked at CT Wellness, offering psychotherapy to various age groups through EMDR and psychopharmacology. Anka held roles as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Fairfield University and as Director of Simulation at the Fairfield University Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies, where development of simulation programs was a key focus. Anka's prior experience includes internships at Family and Children's Aid and Community Center for Behavioral Health, and nursing roles at Northern Westchester Hospital in a neonatal intensive care unit. Anka holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Psychiatric/Mental Health from Fairfield University and has actively contributed to community outreach initiatives related to trauma recovery.
