Ashley Poole

Ashley Poole is a professional with extensive experience in academia and health communication, currently serving as a Lecturer and Web Designer at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington since December 2017. Previously, Ashley held a Lecturer position at Old Dominion University from July 2014 to December 2017 and completed a Health Communication Internship at the Virginia Department of Health in 2016. Ashley's early career includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at Old Dominion University and an Undergraduate Communication and Theatre Arts Peer Advisor, providing guidance to students on academic planning and career development. Additionally, Ashley worked as an HR Admin Associate at U.S. Port Services from 2007 to 2012, focusing on public relations and marketing initiatives. Ashley holds a Global Health Graduate Certificate in Public Health and a Master of Arts in Lifespan and Digital Communication, as well as a Bachelor's of Science in Communication and Media Studies, all obtained from Old Dominion University.
