Eric Griffin

Part-time Graduate School Faculty

Eric Griffin, MPA, CEM, NCEM-E, currently volunteers as a researcher with the National Centre For Critical Infrastructure Protection, Security and Resilience, co-authoring peer-reviewed articles in the critical infrastructure sector. As an associate in the Homeland Security Sector at The Cadmus Group since March 2022, Eric serves as a subject matter expert and has managed a project that earned a DHS Secretary's Meritorious Silver Medal in 2024. Eric has extensive teaching experience as part-time graduate faculty at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and as an adjunct instructor at UNC Chapel Hill's School of Public Health Policy and Management. Previous positions include emergency management roles at Guilford County Emergency Services, Lee County Emergency Management, and Orange County Emergency Management, where Eric developed emergency programs, coordinated planning, and managed response efforts. Eric holds a Master’s in Public Administration from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
