Jenneffer Sixkiller

Jenneffer Sixkiller, MLIS, serves as the Health and Human Services Librarian at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since August 2023. Alongside this role, Jenneffer has worked as a self-employed indexer since February 2014, specializing in creating indexes for academic books across various humanities subjects. Previous experience includes serving as Staff Librarian at Mooresville Public Library from July 2015 to January 2023, where Jenneffer led mindfulness initiatives, managed book purchases, and provided technological support. Jenneffer also held the position of Program Specialist at Iredell County Public Library from September 2013 to June 2015, focusing on outreach programs and collection development. Additional background includes service as an education volunteer with the Peace Corps from 2009 to 2011, a master gardener at Oklahoma State University from January 2008 to January 2009, and Adult Reference Librarian at Stillwater Public Library from February 2003 to December 2008. Jenneffer holds a Master of Library & Information Science degree from the University of Oklahoma and a BFA in fine arts from Oklahoma State University.
