John Robinson

John Robinson serves as the Director of Purchasing at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington since March 2017, overseeing the university's purchasing operations. Alongside this role, John is a Certified Speaker, Trainer, and Coach with the John Maxwell Team, and also the President of 1 Positive Leadership, LLC, providing leadership and procurement consulting, training, and coaching services. Previously, John held significant positions such as President of the Institute for Supply Management - Carolinas-Virginia, Director of Procurement at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, and Director of Materials Management at the North Carolina State Ports Authority. John’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Leadership from South University, a Master’s Certificate in Organizational Leadership from Villanova University, a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Gardner-Webb University, and an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting from Gaston College.
