Joseph Long currently serves as an Associate Professor of Coastal Engineering at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, a position held since August 2018, following a tenure as Assistant Professor. Prior to this, Joseph Long worked as a Research Oceanographer at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from September 2009 to July 2018 and also held an adjunct faculty position at Eckerd College from January 2012 to May 2016. Joseph Long earned a degree from Oregon State University, completing studies between 2002 and 2009.
