Kaitlyn Schuler

Kaitlyn Schuler, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where the focus includes leading research on social media and digital mental health interventions aimed at suicide prevention. Schuler's experience encompasses a postdoctoral consultancy in private practice providing risk assessments for law enforcement organizations, and previous roles as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of South Florida, where involvement in NIH-funded studies significantly improved telemedicine effectiveness. Early career experience includes clinical psychology residency at Canandaigua VAMC, extensive research at the University of South Alabama on suicide prevention, and various roles in behavioral health assessments and interventions for diverse populations, including veterans. Schuler holds a PhD in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from the University of South Alabama and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations within the field.
