Krissy Vick is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in editorial management, media relations, and journalism. Currently serving as the Editorial Manager and Editor-in-Chief of UNCW Magazine at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since June 2021, Vick previously held the position of Community Relations Specialist at Charlottesville City Schools from August 2017 to June 2021. Prior to that, a significant tenure as an Educator in Communications and Journalism at Fuqua School spanned from 2011 to 2017. Vick's early career included work as a National Television Journalist for Christian Broadcasting Network/CBN News from January 1994 to July 2001, where notable achievements included crisis reporting during major events such as the Columbine High School shootings and the Oklahoma City bombing, earning the President’s Award for exemplary coverage in 1999. Vick holds a degree in Communication Studies with focuses in Professional Writing and Broadcast Journalism from Virginia Tech.
