Philip Brown

Philip Brown is a seasoned professional in health initiatives, currently serving as the Senior Advisor for Strategic Health Initiatives at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since April 2025. Prior to this role, Philip hosted the Port City House Calls Podcast from October 2024 to April 2025 and co-hosted the Unlikely Intersections Podcast during the same period. Philip co-founded Destination Health, Inc. in January 2024, contributing to its hybrid operations until October 2024. Previously, Philip held the position of Chief Community Impact Officer at Novant Health from May 2021 to January 2023. Academic credentials include a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery from Johns Hopkins Hospital and an MD from The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, where training in General Surgery was completed.
