Sara Schweitzer currently serves as Assistant Chief of the Wildlife Management Division within the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, a position held since January 2021. In addition, Sara has been an Adjunct Professor and Graduate Faculty member at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington since August 2016, contributing to research projects, grant management, and graduate student advising. Previous roles include Wildlife Diversity Program Coordinator at NCWRC, where significant contributions were made to program development and evaluation, and a Wildlife Diversity Biologist responsible for monitoring and managing coastal waterbird populations.
