Tom Janicki

Tom Janicki is a Professor in Information Systems at UNC Wilmington since August 1999. Prior to this role, Tom was the Owner of Effective Management Group from September 1988 to September 1999, specializing in management training, strategic planning, and detail management. Earlier in his career, Tom served as a Strategic Planning Analyst at PPG Industries from 1974 to 1981, where Tom focused on forecasting demand for facilities and products. Tom holds a PhD in Information Systems from Kent State University (1995-1999), an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business (1976-1980), and a BS in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University (1971-1974).
