Wes Porter currently serves in the role of Community Engagement & Health Equity at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since March 2023. Previously, Wes worked as a Registered Nurse - BSN at New Hanover Regional Medical Center from March 2020 to November 2021, where responsibilities included serving as a Centralized Staff Nurse in the Residency Program. Wes also founded and directed WeWilmRebuild, a nonprofit focused on Hurricane Disaster Relief, managing logistics and public relations from September 2018 to February 2019. Wes holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, earned in 2020, and is currently attending KEDGE Business School.
