We are a trusted bulk supplier of butter, cheese, and amasi, located in Southern Drakensberg, KZN, South Africa. Established in 2016, Underberg Dairy is a farmer-driven initiative born in response to the challenges faced by South African dairy farmers post-industry deregulation in 1998, which led to the closure of 6500 out of 8000 dairy farms. Our dedication to excellence was not a product of circumstance; it was ingrained in our ethos long before the factory stood, evident in our top-quality, award-winning products supplied today.

Our story is one of perseverance, innovation, and relentless pursuit of quality. From the struggles faced by farmers to the construction of our factory, every step has been a building block towards delivering nothing but the absolute best to our customers.

A proud moment in our journey was winning the Business Category for the Agricultural sector at the Standard Bank KZN Top Business Awards 2023. In the same year, our mozzarella cheese received the prestigious Qualité Award at the South African Dairy Championships. These notable recognitions reflect the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that define our products. We take pride in the fact that our products are not just dairy items, but are the result of a labour of love, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering nothing but the absolute best.

None of this would be possible without our dedicated team. Their hard work, passion, and expertise are the backbone of our success. From our farmers who ensure the highest quality milk, to our skilled craftsmen and women who turn that milk into delicious, award-winning products, each member of the Underberg Dairy family plays a vital role in our mission. We are proud of our team and their unwavering dedication to excellence, which ensures that we consistently deliver quality dairy products to our valued customers.
