Hello from Understanding Data!

Founded by Floris Remmen, Understanding Data is dedicated to turning data into strategic knowledge that helps organizations and society make better decisions.

Our story:
It all started in Turnhout, Belgium. Floris brought together his experience in data science and passion for teaching to start something that’s not just a business, but a community focused on better understanding data.

What we do:
We teach organizations how to better understand and use their data with tailored education and expert consulting. Whether it’s setting up smart data systems or finding key insights, we’re here to help you build a sustainable future.

Our impact:
From improving decision-making in local city governments to boosting revenues for high-tech manufacturing companies, our projects make a real difference. We’ve also worked in the finance industry to close gender pay gaps and helped online retailers understand their customers, showing what data can achieve across various sectors.

Our values:
Integrity, respect, value, ownership, and always learning are at our core. We believe in listening, sharing ideas, and creating together. These values drive us to do our best for our clients and each other.
