Michael Burns

Michael Burns is a seasoned technologist currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at UnderwriteMe since 2024. With a robust background in software engineering, they held the position of Principal Engineer at QMetric Group Limited from 2010 to 2024, and previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer at IXICO Limited from 2005 to 2008. Earlier in their career, Michael gained experience as a Software Engineer at Queen's University and completed a placement year at Lagan Technologies. They have also contributed as a Research Assistant at Imperial College London from 2003 to 2005. Currently, Michael is pursuing a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Advanced Computing from Queen's University Belfast and Imperial College London, respectively.
