Carmelia Basri is currently the Senior Advisor for the Management and Technical Assistance for AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Program at UNDP, where they provide high-level advisory services and technical support in combating communicable diseases. Previously, Carmelia served as a Senior Consultant and National Coordinator for various health initiatives, including with FHI-360, WHO, and UNAIDS, coordinating significant programs aimed at HIV control and immunization in Indonesia. They have held leadership roles in national health organizations, including the Vice Chair of the Country Coordination Mechanism for the Global Fund and Chair of the HIV Technical Working Group. Carmelia holds an M.D. from the University of Airlangga and a Master's in Epidemiology from the University of Indonesia.
