Chama Chipeta, Ph.D., is a climate and environmental finance practitioner currently serving as a UNDP BIOFIN Green Finance & Financial Sector Liaison. They previously held positions as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Johannesburg and a Business Development Consultant at DZanetech, where they focused on advancing economic knowledge and conducting market research. Chama earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Financial Economics from North-West University and has extensive teaching and mentorship experience in economics, having worked as a Lecturing and Research Assistant at the same institution. Passionate about integrating nature into financial systems, they aim to unlock green investment for impactful real-world change.
