Derek Pieper

Derek Pieper is an experienced Corporate Governance Specialist at UNDP since January 2012, supporting senior management in implementing the organization's Strategic Plan and coordinating inter-agency processes. The professional history includes roles as a Policy Specialist in UNDP’s Executive Office and as a Consultant for the Small Island Developing States Programme, focusing on capacity building and climate change negotiations for Small Island Developing States. Prior experience includes serving as Adviser and Climate Change Conference Officer for the Permanent Mission of Grenada to the UN, contributing to sustainable development efforts, and analyzing climate policy with Climatico in Canada.
