Doina Munteanu has extensive experience in international development and crisis management, currently serving as an Advisor for Countries in Crisis and Complex Situations in the Asia Pacific region with the UNDP since November 2007. Previous roles at UNDP include Deputy Resident Representative, Project Manager for the EU-funded initiative aimed at strengthening local capacities for resilience and recovery in Libya, and Head of Programme/Assistant Resident Representative. Prior to UNDP, Doina Munteanu worked at the Soros Foundation Moldova as Civil Society Program Director. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Development Management from The Open University and a Licentiate degree in International Affairs from Universitatea de Stat din Moldova. Early education was completed at Liceul "Gh. Asachi" in Chisinau, with a focus on Foreign Languages and Literatures.
