Idris Bexi

Idris Bexi is a Senior Energy and Climate Change Expert at UNDP, bringing over 20 years of experience in policy advocacy and program management. Idris has successfully provided strategic oversight for energy and climate change initiatives across various countries, including Djibouti, Mauritius, and Burundi. Previously, they served as a Senior Lecturer and Chairman of the Science Department at the University of Djibouti and founded the Independent Research Institute of Horn of Africa (IRICA). They hold a Ph.D. in Geophysics from the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris and have contributed to significant projects focused on environmental management and resilience.
