Jamison Ervin

Manager, Nature For Development

Jamison Ervin is the Manager of the Global Nature for Development Program at UNDP, where responsibilities include managing initiatives that emphasize biodiversity's role in sustainable development and overseeing a UNDP/GEF project involving 125 national-level projects across 47 countries. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Protected Area Advisor at The Nature Conservancy, developing tools for the Convention on Biological Diversity, and as a Senior Consultant at WWF, where Jamison developed a pioneering methodology for assessing protected area management effectiveness. Additionally, Jamison coordinated the Forest Stewardship Council, focusing on forest product certification and conservation. Jamison Ervin holds a PhD in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont, an MA in International Administration from the School for International Training, and a BA in Anthropology from Bates College.
