Lea Phillips

Lea Phillips is a highly skilled Project Coordinator with extensive experience in biodiversity policy and sustainable development. Currently at UNDP since January 2020, Lea manages the GEF Early Action Support Project, providing technical guidance and resources to countries for biodiversity strategy implementation and financing. Previous roles include serving as a Biodiversity and Spatial Planning Analyst and a Programme Assistant, where Lea coordinated stakeholder consultations and supported Indigenous communities. Additional experience includes a Business Development Internship at Catholic Relief Services, a Development Fellowship focused on housing policy at Fordham Bedford Housing Corporation, and programming management while serving in the Peace Corps. Lea holds a Master’s Degree in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater Studies with minors in Women's and Sexuality Studies and Marketing Communications from Emerson College.
