Mare Lo

Mare Lo is a Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist with the World Bank Group. They previously served as the Director of Civil Protection in Senegal and have provided consulting services to various international organizations, including UNDP and UNISDR, focusing on disaster risk reduction across multiple African countries. Mare has extensive experience in Senegal’s public administration, holding key positions such as Secretary General of the Ministry of Mines and Industry, and Deputy Governor of Ziguinchor. They hold multiple degrees, including a Master's in Natural Sciences from Cheikh Anta Diop University and a Master in Public Finance and Management from the Higher Institute of Finance in Paris.
