Mohammed AbuShaban is a development practitioner who has worked with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for eight years. Originally from the Gaza Strip, they have significant experience in crisis contexts and have led the implementation of multi-million reconstruction and recovery programs. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Structural Design and Rehabilitation with Honours, Mohammed has contributed to various initiatives addressing natural resources, solid waste management, green economy, and climate change. Currently, they serve as the Infrastructure Programme Team Leader for the UNDP Mozambique Country office, bringing expertise in construction management, strategic planning, and results-based management. Prior to their time at UNDP, Mohammed provided consultancy support for program design, monitoring, and evaluations.
